Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society

I joined Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and we had an initiation banquet last Wednesday. Honestly, I joined this society because it would look nice on my resume. I went to the banquet because the dinner was free. So, I dressed up and went to the banquet alone, but there were a few people I knew, so we seated at the same table. I wasn't really interested in the society itself. Rather, I was more interested in the potential benefits as a member. But, as I was sitting in the banquet, I thought it might be a good opportunity to socialize and form relationships. In MCOM class, the professor and the guest speaker talked about the importance of relationship. In today's business world, relationship means a lot. I am a shy person, and it is not easy for me to approach others and initiate conversation. But, as I get to know more people in the society, I will be able to build relationship with more people. I don't want to use them for my success in the business world. Rather, I want to be a mutually beneficial source.Thus, I need to pursue my goal and become a successful person to contribute to the society.
Nowadays, I feel the importance of relationships even more. Even in everyday life, with my closest friends, it is very easy to hurt them and hurt the relationship. However, recovering the hurt relationship is hard, and maintaining good relationship is not easy. So I believe that I need to start learning how to maintain good relationship and start to care more about others and their feelings. I know it will take some time, but I know that if I can keep good relationship with my friends, I won't be able to have good relationship with others in the world out there.
